This hotel is the perfect location! 5 mins walk to the central station and within short walking distance of all other attractions such as dam square, red light district etc. Rooms pretty basic and two single beds pushed together instead of a double but we didnt mind as the room was spotless clean. Felt cold in the evening but as soon as i worked out the heating it was lovely and warm. Staff were lovely and friendly. I didnt like the lift, it was old and small but that's just preference so i walked the flights of stairs each time. Didnt make it for breakfast each morning. i would 100% stay here again if i return to Amsterdam!!

The best thing about this hotel was the location. Easy walking distance to Amsterdam central station, red light district, restaurants, bars and Dam Square. Our room was clean but old and basic. It was a lot cleaner and more comfortable than some of the reviews said. Our room was at the front of the hotel and due to the location, it was a bit noisy. There wasn’t any air conditioning so it did get a bit hot and stuffy but our window opened so that was nice. Our friend’s room didn’t have windows that opened though. No tea or coffee facilities in the room but there was at breakfast. Breakfast was a basic breakfast but filled the gap. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was quite expensive for what it offered but I guess it’s worth it for the location.

£250 for one night in grotty hotel! Kept my deposit and charged me twice!

Charged me twice for one night. Over £250. Receptionist was extremely rude, her name was Anna. I asked if I could use my deposit to pay for the room and she told me that I HAD to pay again and my deposit would be refunded. I’m sat in the airport and looked at my online banking and that they have kept my deposit and made me pay again last night. Another receptionist called Beatrice said that she should have told me that I could use my deposit to pay. Apparently they refund the deposit NEXT WEEK. Hotel was run down, dirty, dated and the receptionist called Anna was rude and confrontational. I will absolutely NEVER stay there again ever, and I would advise anyone not to stay there either.

Great city centre location! All staff that I met were really welcoming and helpful. My room was basic but clean, the shower room was an odd layout where you have to climb over the toilet to get in the shower and as an added bonus the wash hand basin is in the shower cubicle so you can brush your teeth and shower at the same time. The breakfast was a continental style breakfast, the hot options were beans, scrambled egg and bacon that appeared to be poached!

This is the filthiest hotel I've ever stayed in. Truly dirty and revolting . Your feet actually squidge when walking on the carpet. The receptionist gave us 3 other sets of keys and told us to choose another room. Wasn't easy. Do not stay here. Many other better options
